Boddington Koi are proud to confirm that we follow the Bio-Secure protocols for both quarantining and sales of our Japanese Koi Carp.

It is our responsibility to ensure that all purchasers have sufficient information on the specific requirements of the fish species they wish to purchase, in order to provide the fish with adequate care.  

The purchaser must have an understanding of pond filtration and how vital water parameters are to fish welfare.  In addition, the new owner should have an awareness of the dietary requirements of the fish, how the seasons bring about changes in their needs and to recognise the common health problems.

Boddington Koi therefore, offers full, before and after, sales support, to all our customers.  

Reservation of Fish - The reservation of Fish will be at the manager’s discretion.



1.  If the fish should die, as a result of poor health, or show signs of poor health, within 24 hours of its purchase, your claim must be reported within this 24 hour period, either by telephone (01905 757800) and supported with a photograph, emailed to sales@boddingtonkoi.com  or in person by returning to the shop with the fish and a sample of the pond water.

2.  The Fish must be retained (frozen if dead) until such time as a credit has been agreed.

3.  After the 24-hour guarantee period has lapsed, should the fish shows signs of ill health, we will continue to provide a full advisory service to establish the cause of the ill health and give our recommendations for the treatment and recovery process.

4.  Whilst we will always endeavour to sell fish in first class condition we recommend, if possible, that you quarantine all new fish and only introduce to existing stock once you are satisfied with the health of your new fish.


We guarantee to replace or refund any item that does not meet with your complete satisfaction. All we ask is that the item is returned to us with your receipt within 30 days, unused and in its original packaging. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If an item falls faulty within the guarantee period, Boddington Koi will return the goods to the manufacturer for repair or replacement, dependent on the manufacturer’s policy.

The company does not pay, return postage, or for any costs incurred with the return of faulty or unused goods. Returned parcels remain the customer's responsibility until safely received by us.


Please note that with goods that are not generally carried in stock or custom-built items, pre-payment is required when placing order and payment is non-refundable.


Any items received damaged should not be signed for and returned immediately to the delivery person.

Items opened after delivery that are found to be damaged, faulty or incomplete must be notified within 24 hours of receipt.
