Kusuri Potassium Permanganate
Kusuri Potassium Permanganate is an excellent treatment for the eradication of Trichodina, Costia and other parasites.
Kusuri Potassium Permanganate is supplied as a very fine crystalline grade imported from the USA which is far easier to dissolve.
Kusuri Potassium Permanganate is also very effective as a steriliser and therefore makes a good disinfectant for ponds, nets and various types of pond equipment.
NOTE: At higher temperatures Potassium Permanganate will remove some oxygen from water, so it is advisable to keep an air stone running whilst the treating the pond or quarantine tank.
Kusuri Potassium Permanganate Recommended Dosage:
♦ 6.8gms to 1000 gls / 4500 lts
♦ Mix measured quantity of Potassium Permanganate into a bucket of hot water. Aerate or stir for 20 minutes, top up with pond water and disperse solution evenly around the pond over a 1-hour period.
♦ Use above 10°C / 50°F
♦ Switch OFF UV
♦ Potassium Permanganate will turn the water purple. Re-dose as required to achieve a minimum of 15 hours of purple-coloured water.
NOTE: Kusuri Hydrogen Peroxide is used for the re-oxygenation of pond water. Use Kusuri Hydrogen Peroxide after a treatment of Potassium Permanganate to remove colouration from water.
Kusuri Hydrogen Peroxide can also be used to neutralise Potassium Permanganate during application, if it is having an adverse effect on your fish.
